I’m Allie. I work in tech, teaching others how to use our software. I’m a mom of two humans, and two fur babies. If there’s a way to spend three hours optimizing something that would only take ten minutes to do manually, there’s a very good chance I’ve already looked into it.
I also have ADHD, which means my relationship with productivity is…complicated.
Some days I feel like I’ve got everything under control. Other days I find myself seventeen tabs deep researching a completely unrelated topic while ignoring the thing I was originally supposed to be doing.
What I’ve noticed over the years is that I’m always searching for simpler ways to do things.
Simpler workflows.
Simpler technology.
Simpler systems.
Not because I’m naturally organized, but because I’m not.
The more complicated something becomes, the more likely I am to abandon it entirely.
That’s really what this blog is about.
You’ll find posts about technology, shortcuts, automation, apps, workflows, digital organization, and whatever else I’m currently obsessing over. There will probably be some project updates, lessons learned from work, and the occasional post where I realize I’ve spent far too much time solving a problem nobody (or everybody) else has.
I’m not promising life-changing advice.
I’m not promising perfect systems.
I’m definitely not promising consistency.
But I am promising honesty.
If I find something useful, I’ll share it. If I build something cool, I’ll write about it. If I completely overcomplicate something before finding a simpler solution, you’ll probably hear about that too.
If any of that sounds interesting, feel free to stick around.
